Coach Astin was born in Chicago, moved to Lampasas, Texas. Where he played football, basketball, baseball and track & field. He graduated from Lampasas High School and attended Howard Payne University (HPU) where he met his wife Harliegh who is pictured with him doing Murph together. He also played football for HPU (D3NCAA) and graduated with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. He then spent 2 years working for the Texas Juvenile Justice Department before moving to San Antonio to pursue Juvenile Probation. That is where he found CrossFit back in 2017 and been expanding his knowledge and experience in the sport since then. After a couple of Saturday workouts with CrossFit BLSC we knew he would make it his home box. When you see Coach Astin walking on his hands or helping someone with something in the gym you can find his amazing wife Harleigh and his beautiful daughter Leigh cheering him on!
